We made our reservation last minute while en route to Orlando. (date of stay: 03/27/10) This was our first time staying at this hotel, but we are loyal Marriott customers. Upon arrival, a valet immediately unloaded our vehicle while we checked in. (valet $18, self-parking $15- it is worth the extra $3). I requested a room upgrade and was happily given a King Suite. The lobby was gorgeous with a beautiful waterfall (our 2 year old loved it!). The room was perfect, the pool area was very kid-friendly with a kiddie pool on the side. There is a bar for the adults (very convenient). My hubby loved the tennis and basketball courts! There is also a small playground which was a lot of fun for our little one! Our only complaint would be the food. We ate at the sports bar/restaurant (very family friendly). My husband and I each ordered a $14 cheeseburger, which we both thought tasted just terrible. The quality was poor and we will definitely not be eating there again. The food selection was also poor. They need a more expanded menu to fit different tastes. However, we did go to Tradewinds for the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was fantastic - a little pricey at $20 pp, but so much better than the $14 burger! We will definitely be staying here again. Oh, and it is located across the street from Sea World! It is a great location with fabulous amenities!

I stayed at the Renaissance hotel in october, and the hotel was amazing! The view was perfect, and the hotel itself was beautiful! I have never had so many options as far as food at a hotel, and the food was great! There was a shuttle service to all of the parks that I wanted to go to! I was able to walk to sea world!!! The staff at the hotel were very personable! I am planning my second trip back, and Renaissance hotel is going to be where I stay!

It was easy to walk across the street to enjoy the shows at Sea World. A bit of a hike (1/2 mile in busy trafic) to Aquatica and Discovery Cove with no sidewalks. Beautiful hotel inside and out. Be aware (we weren't) that parking runs $ a day. Would be cheaper to stay somewhere else and pay for parking at the parks if you're traveling on a tight budget. Nice pool and lounge chairs were always available. Since this is an upscale hotel cheap family dining is not available here. Very clean rooms and public areas.

WE HAVE STAYED MANY TIMES AT THE RENAISSANCE, BEFORE AND AFTER THE RENOVATIONS, AND HAVE ENJOYED BOTH. HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL, ROOMS ARE VERY LARGE AND CLEAN, BUT THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT IS THE A/C DOESN'T GIVE OUT ALOT OF AIR, AND I REALLY NEED A GOOD A/C, BUT OVERALL IT IS A GREAT HOTEL. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND HELPFUL. THE HOTEL HAS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF SEAWORLD, WHEN RESERVING ASK FOR THE SEAWORLD VIEW, YOU'LL BE AMAZED.

I enjoyed my stay here at the property even though they were in the middle of a huge remodel. All they lacked was opening Starbuck's and the main lobby food court. The rooms were beautiful, large, and very comfortable bedding. The pool was nice as well, with a large bar restaurant beside. The staff was very friendly and went out of there way that your stay was pleasant.
